When dealing with structure, water or mold: hire a waterproofing contractor, not an engineer, general contractor or landscaping or masonry contractor. Get the professional opinion of a waterproofing contractor and don’t rely on opinion from relatives or friends unless they are waterproofing contractors.
.When you see water or mold in your basement or crawlspace, for all intents and purposes it is already too late. You must take action and fix it immediately
.Water problems only get worse and do not get better on their own
.Water or moisture is a sign of structural problems that are only going to get worse
.If you see white powder on the walls or floor this is a sign of impending water penetration, take action
.That musty odor is a health warning
.Any kind of mold in your home must be remediated, if you see it in your basement it has already infiltrated your upstairs living area
.Water on your floor or the bottom half of your wall is a definite hydrostatic problem and not a grading or downspout issue
